Chicken kofta is a delicious dish in many Middle Eastern and South Asian cuisines. It consists of ground chicken mixed with various herbs, spices, and other ingredients, shaped into small balls or patties, and then cooked in a variety of ways.
Grilling the chicken kofta imparts a smoky flavour and adds a slightly charred crust to the exterior, while baking is a healthier alternative that results in a tender and juicy interior. Frying, on the other hand, creates a crispy outer layer and a moist centre.
Chicken kofta is versatile and can be served in various ways. It is often enjoyed as a main course, accompanied by rice, flatbread, or naan, and served with a flavourful sauce such as tomato-based curry, yogurt sauce, or a tangy chutney. It can also be added to soups, stews, or sandwiches for added taste and texture.

Preparation & UsageHeat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Place the chicken koftas in the pan, leaving some space between them. Cook the koftas for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through. Make sure to rotate them gently to cook them evenly. Once the koftas are cooked, transfer them to a serving plate. You can serve them as is or with your choice of accompaniments.
